Jeongbalsan sits in the middle of Ilsan, a suburb to the west of Seoul. It's not tall, but it is hard to miss because it is the only mountain in an otherwise quite flat area..
The Scouting Report
As mentioned above, Jeongbalsan is not a huge mountain. What makes it popular is that it is in an excellent location. For being such a small mountain, it offers a lot. There are several decent trails that make for good, short hikes. Near Jeongbalsan Station, there is a basketball court that is a fantastic place to find pick-up basketball games. An indoor badminton gym is on the mountain, too. That's just the tip of the iceberg. As you can see, Jeongbalsan exceeds all expectations.

Two adjacent pedestrian malls, La Festa and Westerndom, are about a 5 minute walk from Jeongbalsan. There are plenty of places here to relax with a drink or get a bite to eat after spending a few hours on the mountain.
